The Tango Club Stein am Rhein organizes events and workshops for Argentine tango on the river Rhine in Switzerland.
As a non-profit association, the club’s mission is to bring together tango dancers and enthusiasts, foster a welcoming community and promote tango as a social dance with the guidance of professional expertise.

Upcoming Events

The picturesque medieval town of Stein am Rhein enchants visitors with its historic charm and provides a romantic setting for the club's activities. The beautiful surroundings of Stein am Rhein are ideal for tango events and recreational activities.

The club was founded following the relocation of long-time professional tango dancer and teacher Murat Erdemsel to Stein am Rhein. He lives in the heart of Stein am Rhein with his wife, Linda Kuhn, and their daughters.
Linda is a passionate amateur tango dancer.
Together, Murat and Linda initiated the creation of the Tango Club Stein am Rhein. They are supported by two experienced tango organizers and teachers: Yves Senn and Pierrette Bezonçon from the Tango Connexion association in Valais.

Why call it TangoRiver?

You read everything and are still here? Well, we appreciate that.
As you can imagine, these words are chosen for a reason. We live by the river. We love our neighbours beyond borders, as far as the Rhine goes. In our teaching and dancing philosophy, the river, water and the flow, play a great role. They create a fluid and comfortable dance. There is both a softness and a crashing power in water, we find these in tango too. We aspire to carry these feelings to you as the river of tango would.

We love and respect all forms of dance, art and photography. All images on this website are our own creations if the photographers are not credited.
